Da Nang firmly on top, Dong Thap rank second

Nhan Dan Online- Da Nang came back from behind to thrash Hanoi ACB 3-1 to continue topping the table.

ACB opened the scoring thanks to Da Nang Egware E.Eloh’s own goal in the fourth minute.

After the goal, Da Nang intensified their attacks but could not equalise in the first half.

After the interval, Kalifa Dembele levelled the score for Da Nang. Phan Thanh Hung scored the second, helping Da Nang take the lead and Gaston Merlo fired the third goal, sealing a 3-1 victory over ACB. This was the fifth loss of ACB Hanoi.

At Long Xuyen stadium, Dong Thap edged Song Lam Nghe An 3-2 to rank second.

Samson Kayode scored the opener in the 11th minute, giving Dong Thap the lead.

Five minutes into the second half, Quang Tinh equalised for Song Lam. Samson helped Dong Thap take the lead again in the 70th minute and Felix Gbenga widened the gap to 3-1 ten minutes later. Kavin Bryan narrowed the gap to 3-2 in injury time.

Binh Duong defeated hosts Dong Tam Long An 2-1 in a very exciting match at Long An stadium.

Josef Obina Nwafor gave Binh Duong the lead in the 56th minute but Le Tostao scored the equaliser for Long An in the 72nd minute.

Substitute Ngoc Hung fired the second goal for the visitors in the 84th minute, helping Binh Duong earn a very important triumph and move into 7th place from 11th.

At Nha Trang stadium the only goal by Lauren Michel earned Ninh Binh a narrow win over the hosts Khanh Hoa.

Hoa Phat Hanoi stunned Navibank Saigon 2-0 to climb to third place and the match between Thanh Hoa and Hai Phong ended in a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, defending champions T & T Hanoi lost to hosts Hoang Anh Gia Lai 4-1 at Pleiku stadium. With six points from five matches, T & T dropped into 11th place.
