Giang expressed his pleasure at the strong growth of Viet Nam–Japan relations, particularly since they elevated their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world in November 2023.

The official praised the institute as a prestigious and top-quality educational institution in Japan that has trained many outstanding leaders. He also shared Viet Nam’s policy priorities for developing high-quality human resources to meet the country’s rapid and sustainable growth needs in the coming years.

To further promote the comprehensive development of the Viet Nam–Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including educational cooperation, he suggested the MIGM support Viet Nam in training high-quality human resources through flexible approaches, including assigning lecturers to teach in Viet Nam; facilitating Vietnamese officials’ and students’ study at the institute; expanding training for young Vietnamese entrepreneurs to become skilled business leaders based on Japanese experience and business models; and fostering exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese research and training institutions, and annual thematic workshops and student exchange programmes.

For his part, Kenji stated that the institute’s leaders and students have a strong interest in Viet Nam and expressed admiration for the country’s remarkable achievements, especially in economic and foreign affairs. He showed his belief that the MIGM’s students will serve as bridges promoting friendship between Viet Nam and Japan.

Acknowledging Giang’s proposals, Ozeki affirmed that the institute will actively promote mutual understanding and cooperation with Viet Nam, especially in education and training high-quality human resources.
