Deputy PM calls for stronger communication efforts to attract visitors to Spring Fair 2026

As of February 5, the fair had attracted around 100,000 visitors, generating approximately 9 billion VND (over 346,800 USD) in daily revenue.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son on February 6 inspected the organisational work at the ongoing first Glorious Spring Fair in Ha Noi, praising the organisation of the event and the quality of goods on display.

The Deputy PM asked the organising committee to step up communications to draw more visitors to the event to shop for the Lunar New Year (Tet) and enjoy cultural values.

Besides, he noted, localities and businesses should ensure adequate supply and quality of goods to meet demand, which is expected to rise since this weekend.

He also stressed the importance of continuing to organise distinctive cultural performances, including gong culture and don ca tai tu folk music, while inviting well-known artists and athletes to participate in order to enhance the fair’s appeal.

As of February 5, the fair had attracted around 100,000 visitors, generating approximately 9 billion VND (over 346,800 USD) in daily revenue, the organising committee reported, adding that to better serve the public, opening hours are extended until 10 pm on Fridays and weekends.

Product-quality control is also being carried out regularly through coordination between the organisers, the Ministry of Health, and Ha Noi’s market surveillance force to prevent counterfeit and substandard goods.

The Spring Fair, running from February 2 to 13, is part of the annual national trade fair series. It is being held across about 100,000 square metres of indoor exhibition space and more than 45,000 square metres outdoors, featuring around 3,000 booths from 2,500 businesses.

The fair is divided into eight main zones, combining trade, culture and visitor experiences. The event aims not only to stimulate Tet consumer demand, but also to help develop a professional and internationally standardised trade promotion event, contributing to efforts to position Viet Nam as a regional exhibition and trade fair hub.
