The Vietnamese leader affirmed that Vietnam always treasures and gives priority to strengthening the relationship with Laos.
Deputy PM Khai spoke highly of the cooperation between the two countries’ finance ministries, which has helped their financial sectors effectively implement finance-budget tasks.
He expressed his hope that the two sides would continue working together to implement high-level cooperation agreements and agreements between the two ministries.
The Vietnamese official also said he expects the Lao minister to address difficulties and obstacles to make cooperation agreements between the two sides more effective and substantive.
For his part, Lao Finance Minister Santiphab Phomvihane informed Deputy PM Khai of the results of his visit, noting that the two sides have implemented about 80% of the cooperation plan.
He stated that the two sides would continue implementing high-level cooperation agreements, as well as agreements between the two ministries to enhance the long-standing Vietnam-Laos friendship.
