Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested ministries, branches, localities and investors to put all their efforts into performing tasks to provide adequate sand sources for key projects and avoid a shortage of backfilling materials at projects.
To completely solve the sand supply problem, the Government requires ministries, branches and localities to identify mines, reserves, supply sources, and mining capacity and develop specific exploitation plans.
In addition, works and projects must also calculate in detail the volume needed for levelling and construction so that the Government can balance all supply sources and accurately direct distribution to the entire region.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha also requested several provinces in the Southwest region to continue researching and surveying some sand mines that have begun to form to exploit them for future projects.
