The conference deliberated on nine major topics, including the report summarising the Youth Union's work and youth movements in 2024; the report on the Union's inspection and supervision activities for 2024; the prominent events and activities in youth work and movements of 2024; and the selection of outstanding national youth projects of the year.
In addition, the conference determined the emulation titles for the Youth Union's work and youth movements in 2024 and discussed key matters related to personnel management.

The activities organised by the Youth Union have created an environment and inspired its members and young people to demonstrate a spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and creativity across all areas of social life. These efforts have contributed to economic and social development, ensuring national defence and security, and building a clean and strong Party and political system.

At the conference, the delegates unanimously selected eight outstanding events and activities of Vietnamese youth in 2024, including a series of activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; a series of activities marking the 110th birth anniversary of comrade Ly Tu Trong — the first communist youth member; a peak volunteer campaign supporting the construction of the 500kV power line segment from Quang Trach to Pho Noi; the "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" campaign themed "Lanterns Light Up Dreams”; the second edition of the "Children's National Assembly" simulation session in 2024; the 23rd Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting in 2024, held in China; the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation for the 2024–2029 tenure; and the first National Congress of the Vietnam Association for People with Disabilities for 2024–2029 tenure.
