As one of the five main outdoor stages of EXPO 2025, the Inner Stage is located at the heart of the square, facing the pavilions of Vietnam, France, the United States, and Malaysia, near the Japan Pavilion. It will regularly host a wide range of activities, including art performances, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges organised by the Vietnam Pavilion throughout EXPO 2025.
In his opening remarks at “The Beauty of Vietnam” programme, Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Representative General of Vietnam at EXPO 2025 Osaka, emphasised that the Vietnam Pavilion is honoured to present to the international audience some of the most exquisite traditional melodies of Vietnam, performed by talented artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music. “We hope that the music and unique traditional instruments of Vietnam will leave a lasting impression on all of you today,” he said.
During the performance, Japanese and international spectators enjoyed a colourful journey through the cultural essence of Vietnam’s three regions – the north, central, and south. Audiences also had the opportunity to directly experience traditional instruments.
Marking its eighth appearance at a World Expo, Vietnam once again reaffirms its commitment to introducing the cultural heritage, people, and identity of the country to the global community.
Art performances, cultural exchanges, and interactive showcases such as water puppetry have become signature features of the Vietnam Pavilion at every World Expo, vividly promoting Vietnamese culture while strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between Vietnam and the international public.
“The Beauty of Vietnam” is the opening event of a series of cultural and artistic activities presented by the Vietnam Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka. In addition to daily performances at the pavilion and several outdoor stages, saxophonist Bao Anh Taruki is scheduled to perform in June. In August, more than 40 Vietnamese and Japanese dancers will perform the traditional yosakoi dance and introduce quan ho folk singing from Bac Ninh to EXPO audiences.
Vietnam National Day on September 9 is expected to be a highlight, showcasing the richness of Vietnamese cultural and artistic values to the international audience at EXPO 2025.
The Vietnam Pavilion is organised and operated by the Department of International Cooperation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. With diverse exhibitions and a wide range of events, the pavilion aims to become a cultural focal point at EXPO 2025, bringing Vietnamese history, culture, and people closer to the world.
