Fifty-four entries honoured with press award on traffic safety

54 prizes were presented to the best entries of the press award on traffic safety 2023 at a ceremony held by the National Committee for Traffic Safety in Hanoi on December 27.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the National Committee for Traffic Safety Khuat Viet Hung hailed that since it was launched in 2012, the press award has contributed to addressing pressing issues in the field of transport management as well as in traffic safety.

For his part, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang stressed that the press plays a pivotal role in facilitating the country’s socio-economic, political and cultural development, in addition to raising people’s awareness of ensuring traffic safety.

At the ceremony, the jury awarded four first, six second, nine third, and 32 consolation prizes to the most outstanding entries, sorted from nearly 516 submissions in four categories of online and printed newspaper, radio, and photojournalism.

Nhan Dan Newspaper’s journalists won one third and one consolation prize.
