Over 79 years of building, fighting and growing with different models, organisations and names, generations of leaders, officers and soldiers of the Foreign Security Force in general and the Department of Foreign Security Affairs in particular have always been united, close-knit, resourceful, creative, and have excellently fulfilled the tasks assigned by the Party, the State and the Public Security sector. On June 30, 2023, the Minister of Public Security signed a decision to make July 12, 1946, the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Foreign Security Force.
The achievements and contributions of the Foreign Security Force and the Foreign Security Department have been recognised, commended, and highly appreciated by the leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, and people; many noble awards were presented. On January 3, 2025, the president signed a decision to confer the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces on the Foreign Security Department.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements that generations of leaders, officers, and soldiers of the Foreign Security Department have achieved over the past 79 years; at the same time, he congratulated the Foreign Security Department on being honoured by the Party and State with the noble title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces.
Authorised by the leaders of the Party and State, Minister Luong Tam Quang respectfully attached the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces to the traditional flag and presented the Certificate of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces to the Department of Foreign Security Affairs.
