President Luong Cuong, Chairman of the Council of National Defence and Security and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, presided over a ceremony to present decisions on promotion to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General for three Deputy Ministers of Public Security.

At the event on June 14, authorised by the President, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Office Pham Thanh Ha announced the President’s decision to promote the following Deputy Ministers of Public Security from the rank of Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General: Le Tan Toi, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for National Defence, Security and External Affairs; Le Van Tuyen; and Nguyen Van Long.
