The two ministries decided to use the petrol price stabilisation fund to help ease market shocks, with spending set at about 3,000 VND (0.11 USD) per litre for biofuel and unleaded petrol, 4,000 VND per litre for diesel, 3,000 VND per litre for kerosene, and 3,000 VND per kilogram for fuel oil.
Accordingly, E5 RON92 biofuel was capped at 27,177 VND per litre, up 3,673 VND from the previous level, while the price of RON95-III petrol rose by 4,115 VND to 30,690 VND per litre. The price of diesel increased by 5,395 VND to 33,420 VND per litre, while that of kerosene rose by 7,994 VND to 35,926 VND per litre.
Mazut oil saw its price increase by 2,528 VND to 22,189 VND per kg.
The new base prices will remain valid until the next adjustment period announced by the MoIT. Fuel traders are required to implement the changes in line with current regulations on petroleum business management and the use of the stabilisation fund.
Since the beginning of 2026, domestic fuel prices have undergone 17 adjustments. RON95 petrol has seen five decreases, ten increases and two times of no change, while E5 RON92 has recorded six decreases, nine increases and two unchanged periods, and diesel prices have experienced three decreases, 12 increases and two times with no change.
