The factory, covering an area of over 176,000 square metres, was built at a total cost of US$120 million and is one of the largest projects at VSIP Hai Phong.
Its output capacity is 2 million printing and imaging devices per year.
For the initial stage, the facility has created 500 jobs; though the company plans to increase the payroll to 3,000 in the near future.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Fuji Xerox President Tadahito Yamamoto said that the company is committed to making greater contributions to Vietnam’s economic development and specifically to training high-quality human resources in Hai Phong.
The Vietnam factory is expected to enhance Fuji Xerox’s production capacity, reduce its dependence on factories in China and help meet growing global demand.
