General Phan Van Giang visits and presents gifts in Ninh Binh

On July 18, a delegation led by General Phan Van Giang, Politburo Member, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of National Defence, visited and presented gifts at the Nho Quan War Invalids Rehabilitation Centre, part of the Ninh Binh Provincial Centre for the Rehabilitation of Meritorious Individuals, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).

During the visit and gift-giving ceremony, General Phan Van Giang expressed his emotion at the resilience of the war invalids, sick soldiers, and meritorious individuals being cared for at the facility.

Despite suffering from serious injuries and illnesses and facing numerous difficulties in daily life, they have maintained their faith, upheld the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”, and bravely overcome their circumstances, continuing to work and contribute according to their health to stabilise their lives.

The general expressed his confidence that the Nho Quan War Invalids Rehabilitation Centre will always be a warm and loving home, a place of solidarity and deep affection where everyone strives to build a better life.

He also urged the staff to continue upholding the tradition and improving the quality of care and rehabilitation and shred his hope that the wounded and sick soldiers would maintain their health and overcome their injuries and illnesses.

Emphasising the national tradition of “when drinking water, remember its source”, the General affirmed that over the years, the Party, the State, and the Central Military Commission – Ministry of National Defence have implemented many policies and measures to better care for policy beneficiaries and those who have contributed to the revolution.

The Party, the State, the entire people, and the entire army will always be united in building a prosperous, civilised, and happy country; building a strong People’s Army and militia; and excellently fulfilling all assigned tasks; preserving the revolutionary achievements that previous generations have painstakingly built, he noted.

On the occasion, General Phan Van Giang, along with other leaders of the Party, State, Military Region 3, Corps 12, and Ninh Binh Province, presented many gifts to the leaders of the Nho Quan Centre for the Care and Rehabilitation of Wounded Soldiers and the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and policy beneficiaries being managed, cared for, and treated at the facility.
