At the event, held by the Rencontres du Vietnam (Meeting Vietnam) and the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) in collaboration with the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi, they shared the latest scientific research and achievements across multiple scientific disciplines, including geology, atmospheric and water sciences, environment and sustainable development, interdisciplinary earth research, and megacity studies and climate change in Southeast Asia.

Beyond academic presentations, the experts highlighted practical solutions and cutting-edge technologies in earth and environmental sciences such as AI and big data for weather forecast and environmental management. They also shared their insights into geological and hydrological studies that can help identify critical resources like groundwater, minerals, and renewable energy.

Assoc.Prof.Dr Ngo Duc Thanh, head of the organising board, said that the event creates an interdisciplinary platform for scientists, researchers, and practitioners to present and discuss innovations in the sciences, adding it aims to bolster collaboration and knowledge exchange across diverse scientific domains.

The conference is set to become an annual event, providing a platform for sharing the latest research findings, experience, and innovative ideas.

The ICISE is a science and education institution located in Binh Dinh province’s Quy Nhon city. Commissioned by the Rencontres du Vietnam under the direction of its founders Prof. Jean Tran Thanh Van and Prof. Le Kim Ngoc, it aims to bring together scientists from developed and emerging countries to nurture the association’s long-held expertise in designing exceptional cultural and educational projects.
