The digital economy has been playing an important role, in promoting Vietnam's economy to develop rapidly, sustainably, and inclusively, to become a developed, high-income country by 2045.
These are the contents of the speakers attending the forum, on improving the competitiveness of businesses in the digital economy, recently organised by Vietnam Business Forum Magazine in Hanoi.
Speaking at the forum, VCCI Vice Chairmen Hoang Quang Phong said, that continuing solutions to improve competitiveness and labour productivity for businesses, is an urgent matter.
To improve the competitiveness of businesses in the digital economy, both the role of the State and the proactive, innovative and creative spirit of the business community are needed.
In particular, the Government needs to thoroughly grasp the viewpoint of "promoting national digital transformation, developing the digital economy based on science and technology, and innovation". This is an essential condition to create a favourable environment, helping businesses participate more deeply in the digital economy.
On the business side, to improve competitiveness in the digital economy, the prerequisite is to proactively invest in improving technology, research, learn and apply new business models and methods.
However, digital transformation does not just mean purchasing software and equipment, it is important to be flexible in transforming business models and adapting to scientific and technical transformation. Therefore, each business should have its methods, directions, and ways to transform accordingly.
