Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, made the request while chairing a meeting of the Standing Committee of the municipal Party Committee, to implement the COVID-19 prevention and control during the Tet holiday.
According to reports at the meeting, during the week from January 16-24, the entire city recorded more than 20,400 new cases of SARS-CoV-2, in contrast the number of people cured reached more than 17,600 cases. The total number of patients who have been cured, since the beginning of the fourth outbreak to date, is more than 69,400 cases.
Secretary Dung asked each locality to continue reviewing facilities to establish medical stations or mobile medical groups in the area, synchronously deploy the collection and treatment of F0 with mild to no symptoms, organise isolation and treatment at home, effectively organise support groups to monitor people at home with COVID-19, and devise measures to reduce the load on grassroots healthcare facilities.
