The press centre is intended to create all favourable conditions for domestic and foreign reporters covering the anniversary as well as actively disseminate the organisers’ information on the event, contributing to its success.
Specifically, the centre will provide full pictures of the ceremony, audio, and video feeds of the military parade and information on other activities on the sidelines.
The press centre is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi networks, 30 computers, audio and video feed-in ports, printers, headsets, and other office supplies.
It is open from 7:30 to 20:00 on May 6 and from 6:45 to 18:00 on May 7.
Also, on May 5, the MIC, Vietnam Post and other relevant agencies jointly released a stamp set to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
The set includes four stamps designed by Vietnam Post’s artist Nguyen Du, who depicted Dien Bien Phu from its heroic past to a bright future.
The stamps have four different colour themes, but in general it is a transition from warm to cool colours and from war to peace. The background of the stamps features Thai patterns to honour the diversity of the local culture.
