This morning, a consortium comprising Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation (Handico) and Viglacera Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project.
This is the first large-scale social housing project in the city built following the issuance of Decision No. 444 on February 27, 2025, by the Prime Minister, setting targets for social housing development in 2025 and up to 2030.
The Thang Long Green City social housing project covers a total area of nearly 3.7 ha. It will consist of four 12-story buildings with basements and rooftop utility structures.
The project features a total floor area of approximately 153,800 m2, comprising 1,588 apartments and an estimated population of 5,430 people. Its total investment is 1.6 trillion VND.
According to the project’s developers, the design has been carried out by Singaporean architects, incorporating modern and synchronised amenities such as children’s playgrounds, green landscapes, a community centre, decorative mini-gardens, and fountains.
The project is expected to be completed within 18 months from the groundbreaking date. The estimated selling price is 18.4 million VND per m2.
