The visit comes at the invitation of the commander of the Cambodian Royal Army, General Pol Saruon.
The purpose of the visit is to assess the results of co-operation between the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and the High Command of the Cambodian Royal Army in 2013 and the first six months of this year, and to discuss targets for the rest of 2014.
The trip is expected to strengthen neighbourliness, friendship and co-operation between the Vietnamese and Cambodian peoples and armies.
