Ho Chi Minh City enhances cooperation with Central Highlands provinces

The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the People's Committees of the Central Highlands provinces, held a conference in Dak Nong Province on August 24 to discuss and agree on a plan to implement the socio-economic development cooperation agreement between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces, in the 2023-2025 period.

Participants at the conference discussed and analysed the potentials, strengths, specific areas where the two sides need to focus on cooperation and development, and the difficulties and problems of each locality.

As planned, by the end of the year, Ho Chi Minh City will hold an exhibition week of eight events related to the cooperation programme between the two sides, of which, the most prominent is the exhibition of OCOP products and other typical products of the Central Highlands; conference and exhibition on agricultural, forestry and fishery processing technology.

In the Central Highlands provinces, there will be eight regional seminars and conferences on hi-tech applied agriculture, trade promotion and health cooperation.

At the same time, each Central Highlands province will focus on implementing one typical festival, including the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in Dak Lak; the Da Lat Flowers Festival in Lam Dong; the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival in Kon Tum; the Central Highlands Gong Festival in Gia Lai and the Avocado Festival in Dak Nong.
