Speaking at the meeting, Chief Prosecutor Nguyen Huy Tien expressed his pleasure in welcoming Ambassador He Wei and members of his delegation to visit and work at the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of Viet Nam. He also highly appreciated the ambassador’s important bridging role in actively and proactively coordinating with Vietnamese ministries, departments, and localities to promote the strong development of bilateral relations in recent times.
The supreme people’s procuratorates of the two countries signed their first cooperation agreement in 2000, which was amended and supplemented twice, in 2012 and 2017, now marking exactly 25 years since its establishment. Over these 25 years, the cooperative relationship between the two people’s procuratorates has developed strongly, becoming increasingly profound and practical.
Both sides regularly exchange delegations at all levels, from central to local, to share experiences in procuratorial work, and they jointly build, maintain, and contribute to the development of many important cooperation mechanisms.
Speaking at the reception, He Wei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Viet Nam, expressed his pleasure at visiting the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of Viet Nam and thanked Chief Procurator Nguyen Huy Tien and the staff of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate for taking the time to receive the ambassador and members of the delegation.
Agreeing with the direction of cooperation outlined by the Chief Prosecutor Nguyen Huy Tien, Ambassador Ha Wei expressed his confidence and affirmed that, in his capacity, he would do his utmost to further strengthen and deepen the cooperative relationship between the two countries, especially between the law enforcement agencies and procuratorates of the two countries, thereby contributing to enhancing comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and China.
