Nen thanked the German Government and people for their aid to Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City in particular in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ho Chi Minh City has carried out an array of activities to boost the Vietnam-German relations, especially in investment and trade, he said, adding that the southern metropolis is working to ensure economic development and social stability and control the pandemic at the same time.
For his part, Feldmann said he hopes that Ho Chi Minh City and Frankfurt will step up collaboration in trade and delegation exchange in the time ahead.
He suggested Ho Chi Minh City roll out joint projects with Frankfurt and Leipzig city, which has reached a partnership with Ho Chi Minh City, in such areas as aviation, waterway transportation, and IT.
