He emphasised that in 2015, the OV promoted solidarity as well as made considerable efforts in promoting the nation.

The President appreciated the expatriates’ significant contributions to the country in various fields of science-technology; education and training; investment and business; and culture and society.

The OV community also actively participated in charitable activities to support local Vietnamese people living in difficulties as well as worked closely with the homeland to protect the nations sovereignty over its seas and islands, added President Sang.

The President went on to say that 2016 is the first year to implement the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress and the five-year plan for socio-economic development (2016-2020). He expressed his hope that nationals at home and abroad would always unite to overcome all difficulties and challenges as well as strive to make the country even stronger and more prosperous.
