In Pictures: Exhibition “Nhan Dan Newspaper – The Voice of the Party, State and People of Viet Nam”

From August 28 to September 5, as part of the Exhibition on National Achievements at the National Exhibition and Fair Centre (Dong Anh, Ha Noi), Nhan Dan Newspaper is presenting the exhibition themed “Nhan Dan Newspaper – The Voice of the Party, State and People of Viet Nam”. Preparations are now complete and the exhibition is ready to welcome visitors.

With the motto “A fighting pen – A vision of the Times – A guiding spirit”, the exhibition affirms the leading role and position of Nhan Dan – the central organ of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and the voice of the Party, the State and the people.

The displays highlight important milestones, honouring the role of Nhan Dan Newspaper in particular and revolutionary press in general throughout the nation’s 80-year journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness.

Nhan Dan Newspaper has always stood alongside the country – in the resistance wars for liberation and defence, in the cause of Doi Moi (Renewal) and nation-building, and today as Viet Nam enters a new era of development.

At the heart of the exhibition, an artistically designed central area features flexible LED screens and striking installations.

A prominent image of President Ho Chi Minh reading Nhan Dan Newspaper is displayed alongside his words on the importance of the Party’s newspaper.

“The Party newspaper is like simple, practical and widespread classes. It teaches us what we need to know about propaganda, organisation, leadership and work. Every day it helps to raise our political awareness and the efficiency of our work.” – President Ho Chi Minh.

The central section also showcases front pages of Nhan Dan covering the Party Congresses – key political milestones – as vivid testimony to the newspaper’s role as the Party’s central organ, the voice of the Party, the State and the people, and the official channel conveying Party policies to the nation.

Zone A: “The Birth of Nhan Dan – In the Flash of Gunfire”.

The zone A features President Ho Chi Minh’s words on choosing the paper’s name: “Our Party has only one purpose – to serve the people. Therefore, the Party’s newspaper should be called Nhan Dan (People).”

Zone C: “The Heart and the Pen”, presenting portraits and memorable quotes from Editors-in-Chief of Nhan Dan from its founding to today, including Hoang Tung, Thep Moi, Phan Quang, Ha Dang and Huu Tho.

Zone E: The experience station, displaying special editions of Nhan Dan for National Day (September 2) and commemorative issues in 2025, such as the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth, the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 50th anniversary of national reunification, and the 100th anniversary of Viet Nam’s revolutionary press.
