General Khamliang Outhakaysone's visit aims to maintain high-level exchanges, strengthen strategic trust between Viet Nam and Laos, and contribute to the success of the 2026 annual meeting of the Defence Ministers of Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia, as well as the joint civil defence exercise involving the armed forces of the three countries.

Attending the welcoming ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Minister of National Defence; senior leaders of the General Staff; and representatives of the General Department of Politics.
