[In Pictures] Overview of workshop on removing policy shortcomings to promote role of private economy in Vietnam
Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam Television (VTV) and Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA) jointly organised a workshop on removing policy shortcomings to promote the role of the private economy in the Vietnamese economy, in Ho Chi Minh City on March 21.
The workshop is attended by leaders of ministries, departments, and branches of the Government and Ho Chi Minh City; representatives of state management agencies; leading speakers and economic experts such as Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, Dr. Tran Du Lich, Dr. Nguyen Duc Kien, Dr. Can Van Luc...; and representatives of 250 enterprises.

The workshop aims to provide an overview of the role, potential and challenges of the private economic sector, at the same time clarify the policy shortcomings that are hindering the development of this sector, propose solutions to remove them so that the private economy can truly become the leading important growth driver of the country, as well as contribute opinions to the upcoming draft resolution of the Politburo.
