During the meeting, Nhan Dan’s Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh provided the Iranian diplomat with an overview of the newspaper, the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Minh emphasised that with the principle “Where the people are, Nhan Dan Newspaper is there”, the Party newspaper has continuously renovated both its content and format to come closer to the public.
He affirmed that Nhan Dan always provides timely and accurate information about the situations in Vietnam and the world, including Iran.
He added that the online version of Nhan Dan is not only available in Vietnamese, but also in five foreign languages, namely English, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.
In recent years, Nhan Dan has implemented special information and media projects to commemorate major Vietnamese holidays.
Its innovative and creative products have been widely applauded by the public and received high acclaim at domestic and international media and communication awards.
For his part, Iranian Ambassador Ali Akbar Nazari congratulated the newspaper on its excellent achievements.
He emphasised that press cooperation between the two countries plays a crucial role in enhancing mutual understanding, promoting cultural exchange, and expanding bilateral relations.
The Iranian diplomat expressed his desire for Nhan Dan and Iranian media outlets to intensify information exchange and share experiences, thereby helping to bring the images of both countries closer to the public.
Welcoming the ambassador’s proposal, Minh affirmed that Nhan Dan is always ready to expand cooperation with foreign media organisations to strengthen information exchange and contribute to consolidating friendly relations between nations and peoples.
