On March 18, thousands of Buddhist followers, local people and tourists flocked to Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountains) in central Da Nang City to join the birthday ritual of Quan The Am (Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva).

The ritual, held on the 19th day of the second lunar month, aims to pray for peace and happiness. .
It also seeks to arouse good deeds and promote the harmony between Buddhism and patriotism
It is among the major activities of the Quan The Am Festival 2025.
The festival is held annually from the 16th to the 19th day of the second lunar month at the Quan The Am pagoda on Su Van Hanh Street, Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, and other sites in Ngu Hanh Son.
In addition to rituals associated with Buddhism, Quan The Am festival also includes a range of cultural and sports activities and games.
In 2000, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism listed the festival as one of the 15 biggest national festivals.
The festival was recognised as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2021.
