The initiative aims to further promote the Party and State’s policies on safeguarding national borders, while highlighting local efforts in implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW on the national border protection strategy.
It also supports the implementation of the 14th National Party Congress Resolution, raising awareness among the public and armed forces about land border affairs.
The contest seeks to honour the contributions and sacrifices of generations of Vietnamese people and the armed forces in protecting the country’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Entries are expected to vividly portray daily life, work and cultural practices of communities in border areas, particularly those inhabited by ethnic minorities and religious groups. Themes also include natural beauty, socio-economic development, poverty reduction, education, and rural development, as well as exemplary individuals and organisations contributing to cultural life and border protection.
In addition, submissions are encouraged to reflect patriotism, resilience, and the spirit of sacrifice for national sovereignty, alongside the preservation of traditional cultural values, military–civilian solidarity, and friendship between Viet Nam and neighbouring countries.
The competition is open to Vietnamese citizens aged 15 and above, both at home and abroad, as well as foreign nationals living and working in Viet Nam.
Award-winning and outstanding works will be showcased in a thematic exhibition, helping to promote the image of Viet Nam and its border regions to domestic and international audiences.
