On June 1, 1969, Uncle Ho wrote the article “Enhancing Responsibility for Caring for and Educating Children”, published in Nhan Dan Newspaper, issue No. 5526. He wrote: “Children and teenagers are the future masters of the country. Therefore, taking good care of and educating them is the responsibility of the entire Party and all the people. This work must be carried out persistently and tirelessly”.

In a letter sent to the National Conference of Officials in Charge of Children on August 25, 1950, President Ho Chi Minh wrote: “Educating children is a science. Teaching children should help them love the Fatherland, love their compatriots, love labour, know hygiene, maintain discipline and study culture. At the same time, their cheerfulness, liveliness, naturalness, initiative and youthfulness must be preserved, and they should not be made prematurely old.”
