On June 2, global gold prices reversed course and rose to 3,347 USD per ounce amid a weakening US dollar, less attractive bond yields, and continued buying by central banks. Domestically, SJC gold bar prices increased by nearly 300,000 VND, reaching 117.8 million VND per tael; SJC gold rings also rose to 113.8 million VND per tael.
