With nearly 80 years of development, Denmark's Spectre Group has established itself as a leading manufacturer of specialised technical apparel and outdoor sportswear. Its decision to make Viet Nam a global manufacturing hub reflects long-term confidence in the country's workforce and investment environment.

By integrating artificial intelligence, comprehensive automation, and LEED Gold environmental standards, the Spectre Hung Yen 2 garment factory is helping to establish a model for the green fashion industry, meeting the stringent requirements of global supply chains.

Speaking at the factory's inauguration ceremony, Jesper Klausen, Co-owner and Chief Sustainability Officer of Spectre Group, affirmed that the opening of the group's fourth manufacturing facility in Viet Nam marked an important new chapter in its long-term strategic partnership with Hung Yen Province.

He emphasised that Viet Nam now serves as Spectre's global manufacturing hub, where the group has invested more than 60 million USD and created jobs for over 5,500 local workers since 2010.

The Spectre Hung Yen 2 factory's LEED Gold certification demonstrates its commitment to optimising energy efficiency, managing resources responsibly, and ensuring a safe working environment for employees. Like its facility in An Giang Province, the new factory incorporates a design that maximises the use of solar energy and features a rainwater collection and reuse system, helping reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1,600 tonnes annually.

Notably, Hung Yen 2 is designed to become a model for automation and artificial intelligence (AI) applications throughout its operations, from intelligent fabric inspection and automated warehousing to cutting, sewing, and export logistics.

Jesper Klausen stressed that the introduction of AI and automation was not intended to reduce the workforce but rather to equip employees with safer working tools, improve product quality, and create new jobs requiring creative thinking and advanced technical skills.

Located at the gateway to the Red River Delta and bordering Ha Noi, Hung Yen Province is emerging as an attractive destination for a new generation of foreign direct investment (FDI), thanks to its well-connected transport infrastructure and the local administration's openness to investors.

Le Quang Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee, emphasised that the factory's opening shortly after Viet Nam and Denmark upgraded their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership not only reaffirms the strong diplomatic ties between the two countries but also demonstrates European investors' confidence in Hung Yen's business environment.

Hoa said Hung Yen had a dynamic economy, with gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growing by 11.22% in the first nine months of 2026. Industry remained the main driver of growth, expanding by nearly 15%.

With total investment of nearly 500 billion VND and covering five hectares in the Song Tra Industrial Park, the Spectre Hung Yen 2 project is expected to generate annual revenue of more than 800 billion VND, provide stable employment for approximately 2,000 workers, and contribute over 100 billion VND to the local budget.

The vice chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee commended the Danish investor for completing the project on schedule within 20 months, as well as for its commitment to adopting green technologies, utilising solar energy, and creating a modern, people-centred working environment.

On the occasion, Hoa urged Spectre Group to continue innovating its technologies, prioritising occupational safety, and improving the material and spiritual well-being of its employees.

The province also expressed its hope that Spectre would serve as a bridge to encourage more corporations and businesses from Denmark and the European Union to invest in Hung Yen and develop green supply chains.
