The hall showcases the daily life of the RoK people, through the reproduction of a traditional Hanok house of the Joseon dynasty and an apartment - the most popular housing type in modern times.

The hall consists of three main parts. The first part is the recreation of a traditional RoK house with a men’s room, a women’s room, a living room, and a kitchen. The second part recreates a modern apartment space, including the main room, a living room, a kitchen, a children’s room, and others. The third part features the dynamism of modern RoK with the images of popular culture such as K-Pop, dramas, fashion, the beauty industry, food and others.

Deputy Director of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology Bui Ngoc Quang said the opening of the Korean Hall marks a milestone in the operation of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, to meet the needs of visitors and their demand to learn about history and culture, in addition to opening up opportunities for further cultural and economic exchanges between the two countries.

During the exhibition period, the museum will organise educational, exchange and academic activities to promote cooperation between the two countries, Quang noted.
