Hanoi to offer free art events to celebrate Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day

The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has directed art troupes to organise dozens of free high-quality art programmes throughout the capital city to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – 2025).
The art programmes focus on praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and celebrating love for the homeland, the country, and the Vietnamese people.

Accordingly, the Thang Long Music and Dance Theatre will host two art shows in Hoan Kiem District on the evening of April 29 at the Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and on May 4 near the Ba Kieu Temple.

On the evening of April 30, a puppetry show will be held on the stage near Ba Kieu Temple by the Thang Long Puppet Theatre.

In suburban districts, the Hanoi Circus and Variety Theatre will hold two evening programmes on April 27 in Ung Hoa District and April 30 in Dong Anh District.

The Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre will stage ‘cai luong’ (reformed opera) evening performances in Me Linh District on April 27 and Thanh Oai District on May 4.

On the evening of April 27, artists from the Hanoi Drama Theatre will deliver performances in Thach That District and on the evening of April 30 in Chuong My District.

Meanwhile, the Hanoi Cheo Theatre will host ‘cheo’ (traditional opera) evening shows in Phu Xuyen District on April 27 and Nam Tu Liem District on April 30.

The Hanoi Cultural Centre will entertain the public with two performances on the evening of April 27 in Ha Dong District and on the evening of April 29 in Hoai Duc District.

The art programmes focus on praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and celebrating love for the homeland, the country, and the Vietnamese people.

They also spotlight the revolutionary tradition of the nation, the great historical significance of the Liberation Day of the South and the reunification of the country on April 30, as well as national socio-economic achievements over the past 50 years since reunification, particularly in the current process of renovation and international integration.

These art programmes are expected to bring the public a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere while reinforcing their trust in the Party's leadership.
