On behalf of the Party, State, Government, and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Ambassador Kingphokeo Phommahaxay offered best wishes to the Party, State, Government, and people of Viet Nam, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Huong Tra, and all officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium. He wished Viet Nam continued success in its cause of national construction and development.
In response, Ambassador Nguyen Huong Tra expressed sincere thanks to the Lao Ambassador and officials of the Lao Embassy. She welcomed the increasingly extensive, substantive, and effective development of Viet Nam–Laos relations across various fields, affirming that the Party and State of Viet Nam always value the sentiments, support, and assistance extended by the Party, State, and people of Laos.
The two diplomats agreed to continue strengthening information exchanges, coordination, and mutual support between the two embassies, thereby contributing to further cultivating the close, practical, and effective Viet Nam–Laos great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive strategic cooperation, and strategic cohesion.
On the same day, a delegation from the Embassy of Laos in the Philippines, led by Ambassador Thipphasone Sengsouriya, visited the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines to extend congratulations on the occasion.
On behalf of the Party, State, Government, and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Ambassador Thipphasone Sengsouriya conveyed best wishes to the Party, State, Government, and people of Viet Nam, Vietnamese Ambassador Lai Thai Binh, and all officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Philippines, wishing Viet Nam further achievements in its cause of national construction and development.
The two ambassadors expressed their pleasure at the fruitful outcomes of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos, and agreed to maintain information exchanges, coordination, and mutual assistance, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of important external-relations activities and events in the time ahead.
The two sides placed particular emphasis on close coordination as the Philippines is scheduled to host several important ASEAN activities in 2026, notably including the 49th ASEAN Summit and the 47th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-47), which are expected to take place in November.
