The tax watchdog said that the e-portal aims to provide a convenient channel for taxpayers to comply with regulations while meeting the requirements of modern and transparent tax management system in the context of rapidly expanding digital commerce in Vietnam.

The portal will support households and individuals doing business on e-commerce marketplaces and social networks such as Shopee, Lazada, Facebook, and Zalo, as well as those with incomes from advertising on platforms such as Google and YouTube and software providers on CH Play and Apple Store.

The portal has four main functions: tax registration, declarations and payments, simplifying administrative procedures to tax payers, and reducing compliance time and costs.

The e-portal is a part of the effort to strengthen the national digital transformation towards e-Government, digital economy and society and promote the development of digital economy and e-commerce industry in Vietnam.
