At a press conference held in Ha Noi on the afternoon of July 23, Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director of VIETRADE under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced that VIET NAM OCOPEX 2025 will feature 300 booths representing nearly 200 exhibitors. Thousands of certified One Commune One Product (OCOP) items from 34 provinces and cities across the country will be on display. These include tea, coffee, cashew nuts, handicrafts, medicinal herbs, agarwood, essential oils, turmeric powder, various agricultural and processed food products, bird’s nest, and beauty products such as shampoos, conditioners, and serums. The event has also received sponsorship support from the purified water brand Bluezone.
“Notably, in addition to the strong presence of domestic booths, this year’s fair will also welcome international exhibitors from countries such as Peru, Laos, and Cambodia, along with trade connection booths from commercial enterprises,” Hung shared.
Phuong Dinh Anh, Deputy Chief of the Central New Rural Coordination Office, said that VIET NAM OCOPEX 2025 aims to help OCOP producers boost domestic market access and promote the export of key and high-potential OCOP products. The fair is designed to integrate OCOP items into international distribution networks, enabling deeper participation in global value chains and proactive engagement in the world economy. It also provides a platform for OCOP producers to connect with foreign enterprises, diplomatic missions, and trade promotion organisations in Viet Nam.

The fair also serves as an important platform for promoting, displaying, and introducing high-quality OCOP products to a broader audience. It allows international distributors and importers to discover that Viet Nam is home to a rich and diverse supply of premium OCOP products that meet international standards and the demands of major global distribution channels, thereby paving the way for future trade cooperation.
As of July 2025, Viet Nam has recognised 17,068 OCOP products with a rating of three stars or higher, produced by 9,195 OCOP entities. Among them, 126 products have been awarded the prestigious national five-star certification. Many OCOP products now meet stringent quality and food safety standards, feature diverse and eco-friendly packaging, and align with market demands.
The OCOP programme has had a significant and widespread impact on rural economic development, becoming a core and far-reaching policy. It is being implemented in a comprehensive and nationwide manner, emerging as a prioritised solution for rural economic growth in tandem with the national new rural development initiative across all localities.
Thanks to Viet Nam’s diverse natural resources, climate, and distinctive cultural heritage, the country has succeeded not only in exporting major agricultural products but also in promoting a wide range of local specialties and traditional craft village products. These items embody local cultural values and are best represented through Viet Nam’s OCOP products — with each item telling a story and reflecting the essence and richness of Vietnamese culture.
