Mekong Delta region fine arts exhibition features 200 works

The 21st Mekong Delta Region Fine Arts Exhibition kicked off in My Tho city, Tien Giang province on August 9, featuring nearly 200 fine art works.

The exhibition includes paintings, graphic works, sculptures and installations produced by artists from 13 provinces in the region. The exhibits feature the beauty of the region’s landscapes as well as the daily lives of local people. In addition, the artists also focused on Vietnam’s seas and islands.

Addressing the event, Chairman of VFAA Tran Khanh Chuong said that the exhibition offered the artists an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and show-off their high quality art works to the public.

On the occasion, the VFAA awarded eight prizes to artists, who are members of the VFAA. In addition, the organising board also presented 11 prizes to artists, who are member of Literature and Arts Associations of provinces in Mekong Delta region.

Among the winners, the A prize of the VFAA went to Nguyen Huu Thien from Ben Tre province, meanwhile the A prize from Literature and Arts Associations of provinces in the Mekong Delta region went to Ha Phuoc Duy from Long An province,

The exhibition, co-organised by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association (VFAA) and Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, will be open until August 16.
