NA Chairman presents gifts to revolution contributors in Hau Giang Province

On July 1, a delegation of the National Assembly (NA), led by its Chairman Tran Thanh Man, presented 20 gifts to revolution contributors in the southern province of Hau Giang, on the 77th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947-2024).

The event was attended by leaders of Hau Giang Province, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, wounded soldiers, families of policy beneficiaries, and revolutionary contributors in the locality.

Speaking at the event, NA Chairman Man stressed, that the Party, the State and the people of Vietnam are always grateful to those who made significant contributions to the national revolution, adding that taking care of wounded and sick soldiers, families of fallen soldiers and national contributors, is the responsibility of all-level administrations, all sectors and all people today, and in the future.

The Party, the State and the Government have issued policies and laws targeting these groups of people, he said, updating the participants that on June 25, 2024, President To Lam signed a decision on giving gifts, worth a total of 420 billion VND (16.5 million USD), to more than 1.3 million revolution contributors.

He also hailed the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, authorities and people for mobilising available resources, to care for revolution contributors and their relatives. He called for greater efforts and more practical actions in this work.

At the ceremony, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man also witnessed the handover of 100 social houses to the provincial authorities.
