The event, co-organised by Dong Khoi Newspaper and the Ben Tre Provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, featured two distances: 10km and 5km, for both men and women.
Speaking at the launch, Le Ngoc Han, Editor-in-chief of Dong Khoi Newspaper, said that the competition aims to promote sports activities and encourage a regular habit of physical exercise in improving overall health and well-being in the community.
The same day in Da Nang City, the 28th Da Nang Newspaper’s running contest kicked off, attracting the participation of over 800 athletes from 82 agencies, units, and armed forces in the city as well as 14 professional athlete teams from localities across the country.
The contestants competed in individual, team, and whole team events over distances of 1.5km, 2km, 3km, 4km, 5km, and 7km.
Over its 27 editions, the contest has established itself as an anticipated event among the runner community while contributing to the development of sports activities in Da Nang City.
