Politburo member and Standing Vice Chairman of National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man visited and presented gifts to workers who are living in difficult circumstances, wounded soldiers, policy beneficiaries, poor and near-poverty households in the Mekong Delta Province of Hau Giang on January 23, on the occasion of the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival.

The NA Standing Vice Chairman visited and presented Tet gifts to 170 workers living in difficult circumstances at Lac Ty II Company (Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park, Chau Thanh A District).

He asked the businesses of the province to overcome all difficulties and strive to fulfil all production and business targets and the agencies at all levels to solve difficulties in housing and the daily lives of workers.

At the ceremony, to present Tet gifts to 150 policy beneficiary families, poor and near-poverty households living in challenging circumstances in Thanh Xuan Commune, Chau Thanh A District, NA Standing Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Man sent best wishes to the locals.

He asked the Party Committees and authorities at all levels to continue implementing all mechanisms and policies to care for the poor and policy beneficiaries.

On the occasion, he presented 500 Tet gifts mobilised by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to policy families, poor households and households in difficult circumstances. The NA Standing Vice Chairman also visited Phan Huu Hiep, a wounded soldier in Xeo Cao Hamlet, Thanh Xuan Commune, Chau Thanh A District.

The delegation also visited the Binh Thuan exhibition centre for the Cham ethnic culture and presented Tet gifts to representatives of Phan Thanh, Phan Hiep, and Phan Hoa communes, which are home to a large number of ethnic minority people. On the occasion, 15 religious dignitaries and seven outstanding artisans of the Cham ethnic group, 30 students from underprivileged backgrounds, and 30 poor households of this ethnic minority also received gifts.
