Tu, a Politburo member, highly appreciated the results that the Party organisation, government and people of Lao Cai have achieved over the past year.
In 2023, Lao Cai recorded an economic growth rate of over 5% and collected 9.5 trillion VND (387.16 million USD) in state revenue, while its poverty rate fell to 4%.
Tu asked Lao Cai to effectively implement the Party and State’s guidelines and guidelines on social security, especially the national programmes on building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in ethnic regions.
The Party official also requested that the armed forces in Lao Cao promote their primary role in ensuring national defence and public security so that all people can enjoy a happy Tet.
On the occasion, Tu presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, disadvantaged workers and the armed forces in Lao Cai Province.
