Quang was briefed on the province’s socio-economic performance in 2023 at the provincial convention centre.
In 2023, Tra Vinh’s economy grew by 8.25%, with the income per capita reaching 81.7 million VND (nearly 3,330 USD) and the poverty rate falling to 1.19%.
Speaking at the event, the government leader praised Tra Vinh for its efforts to overcome difficulties and promote socio-economic development, especially in building new rural areas and alleviating poverty.
On the occasion, Deputy PM Quang, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Tra Vinh leaders presented 140 Tet gifts to poor households and disadvantaged workers.
On the same day, Quang visited the Tra Vinh Police Department, where he asked the provincial police force to ensure security and social order throughout the province.
