National E-commerce Week targets a safe, secure and enjoyable online shopping environment

The National E-commerce Week and Viet Nam Online Shopping Day – Online Friday 2025, under the theme “Safe–Secure–Enjoyable”, aim to create a convenient and reliable online shopping environment, thereby promoting the sustainable development of Viet Nam’s e-commerce market.

On Novemberb 4, in Ha Noi, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy under the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a press briefing to introduce and provide official information on the “National E-commerce Week and Online Friday 2025”.

Accordingly, the National E-commerce Week will be organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade from November 13 to 17, 2025, with a maximum promotion and discount level of up to 100%.

As part of this year’s National E-commerce Week, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy will coordinate with TikTok Shop, Industry and Trade Newspaper, relevant departments and agencies, provincial and municipal Departments of Industry and Trade, sectoral associations, and the accompanying brands, enterprises and platforms within the e-commerce ecosystem to implement a range of activities designed to realise the theme “Safe–Secure–Enjoyable”.

Accordingly, a kick-off ceremony will be held to launch Online Friday 2025, expected to attract millions of consumers and a large number of businesses.

A series of Livestream Online Friday 2025 events themed “Safe–Secure–Enjoyable” will be organised across various platforms and applications under the programme, providing in-depth knowledge and information to help consumers identify and distinguish between genuine and counterfeit goods.

Notably, this year’s Online Friday will, for the first time, feature a Mega Live session organised by the event’s organisers, offering direct demonstrations and detailed guidance on distinguishing genuine from fake products, thereby enhancing consumer awareness and their ability to recognise authentic goods.

An experience and exhibition space will also be set up to showcase genuine products and digital transformation solutions for businesses. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in a digital technology environment, explore modern shopping solutions, experience convenient digital payments and discover intelligent logistics services.

The event will also offer businesses additional opportunities for networking and engagement with service providers to strengthen cooperation, identify suitable partners and expandavenues for business growth in the near future.

Speaking at the press briefing, Lai Viet Anh, Deputy Director General of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade, stated that according to statistics, by 2024 the total value of e-commerce transactions in Southeast Asia had surpassed 100 billion USD. Of this, Viet Nam’s retail e-commerce revenue reached 25 billion USD. Viet Nam is ranked among the countries with the highest e-commerce growth rate in the region, among the world’s top 10 fastest-growing markets, and third in market size (after Indonesia and Thailand) with over 60 million online shoppers.
