Accordingly, all agencies and units under the Naval Region 1 Command are keeping 100% of their personnel on standby for combat readiness. Officers and soldiers have been mobilised to secure barracks and warehouses, prune trees, and clear drainage systems. The units of the Naval Region 1 Command are also actively coordinating with local authorities to be ready for response and rescue operations as needed. At sea, the Naval Region 1 Command has directed Brigade 169 and Brigade 170 to mobilise over 30 vessels and boats to safe storm shelters.
Additionally, the Naval Region 1 Command has required all units to closely monitor storm developments; review and update storm prevention and search and rescue plans; and prepare detailed contingency measures for each force to ensure maximum safety and minimise potential damage caused by the storm.
On the occasion, the leader of Naval Region 1 Command awarded certificates of merit from the Political Commissar of the Navy to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the search and rescue operation of the QN-7105 (Vinh Xanh 58) tourist boat.
