The houses, each worth 50 million VND, will be handed over to disadvantaged members of the provincial Women’s Association.
Speaking at the event, Minh, who is also member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, expressed his pleasure to contribute to the province’s social welfares activities.
He stressed that Nhan Dan Newspaper always attaches great attention to social activities and caring for the livelihoods of disadvantaged people.
The newspaper has hosted many events, including the auction of paintings to support 200 children having COVID-19, and the presentation of social houses and saving books to national contributors.
For his part, Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee conveyed his thanks for Nhan Dan Newspaper’s support, and expressed his hope for closer relation between Ben Tre Province and the newspaper.
