During the meeting, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, read a letter of congratulations for Chol Chnam Thmay Festival 2025 from the city’s leaders to participants.
She extended warm greetings and best wishes for a joyful, united, safe, and happy festival to the venerable monks, senior monks, nuns, and the entire Khmer ethnic community.
She stressed that the city’s authorities always highly appreciate the positive contributions of the monks and the Khmer ethnic people to the city’s socio-economic development.
Speaking at the meeting, Venerable Dao Nhu, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s chapter in Can Tho City, emphasised that over recent years, the material and spiritual lives of ethnic minorities have been improved, thus enhancing people’s trusting in the leadership of the Party and State while encouraging them to work harder and consolidate great national unity bloc.
He pledged that ethnic minorities will continue working tirelessly to build a more prosperous and civilised homeland and country.
