OCOP products and Vietnamese Goods Week launched in Hanoi’s Ba Vi

The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade and People’s Committee of Ba Vi District held a ceremony on November 25 to introduce products of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme at Luc Tien Plaza in Chu Minh Commune and launch Vietnamese Goods Week.

Luc Tien Plaza is showcasing OCOP products of Ba Vi District and other provinces and cities from across the country such as yogurt, milk cake, caramel, turmeric starch, vermicelli, tea, and others.

Chairman of Ba Vi District’s People Committee Do Manh Hung said that Ba Vi has 101 products that have been recognised as OCOP products in 2019 and 2020, including 47 starred products. In 2021, the district is expected to have 54 OCOP products rated as 3-star and 4-star products.

Acting Director of Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Tran Thi Phuong Lan said that the showcase of OCOP products aims to enhance the value and brand of agricultural products in the localities in Hanoi while promoting the consumption of OCOP products.

On the same day, the Vietnamese Goods Week was launched at the Ba Vi District Cultural House in a bid to increase total retail sales of goods and boost production.

There are more than 100 booths showcasing Vietnamese products at the event, featuring various consumption and industrial products as well as products of OCOP programme and craft villages.

The event will conclude on November 29.
