As of May 29, approximately 20 million citizens have submitted their opinions on the constitutional amendments via the VNeID app.
According to the plan, May 30 marks the deadline for agencies, organisations, and localities to conclude their public consultations on the draft amendments to the 2013 Constitution.
To date, the MOJ has received 51 reports, including those from the Central Commission for Policies and Strategies, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, 16 out of 22 ministries, ministry-level and government-attached agencies, and 32 out of 63 provinces and centrally governed cities.
Nguyen Thi Hanh, Director of the Criminal and Administrative Law Department at the MOJ, stated that the comprehensive report on public consultation results regarding the constitutional amendments will be compiled based on submissions from agencies, ministries, sectors, and localities, as well as data collected via the VNeID app and online portals of the National Assembly and the government.
The MOJ will complete the consolidated report by June 1 and submit it to the government by June 3. The government will then forward the report to the committee responsible for drafting the constitutional amendments by June 5.
