Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented 600 Tet gifts to needy households, workers and children living in difficult circumstances in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.
On the same day, she paid a visit and extended Tet wishes to the armed forces of Military Zone 9. She expressed her hope that the Military Zone 9 will continue to do well in ensuring national security and defence.
Also on January 16, Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh visited and presented 300 Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families, needy households and workers in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre.
He previously visited Vietnamese heroic Mother Vo Thi Xe in Phu Hung Commune (Ben Tre City, Ben Tre Province), whose husband and son laid down their lives in the resistance war against the US.
On January 16, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Bui Minh Hoai visited and presented 70 Tet gifts to needy households and workers in Cho Moi District, in the northern mountainous province of Bac Kan.
